Management Board

In February 2023, the long-standing members of the Managing Board Walter and Peter Kurz retired from the operational business and have since taken on advisory roles as chairman and vice chairman of an advisory board. At the same time, Dr. Andreas Hirschfelder, former Senior Vice President of the Business Area Plastic Decoration, became Chairman of the KURZ Management Board. Dr. Hirschfelder has held various positions in the company for many years, including as managing director of the subsidiaries PolyIC and BURG DESIGN.

Dr. Andreas Hirschfelder was born in Kelz, North Rhine-Westphalia in 1967. In 1987 he commenced his studies in Organic Chemistry at the University of Cologne, from where he graduated in 1992. He subsequently received his doctorate in Organic Chemistry at Dortmund University of Technology in 1995. As CEO, Dr. Hirschfelder is responsible for the strategic direction and business decisions of the KURZ Group.
