Fuerth/Germany, November 5, 2026: From January 11–15, 2027, KURZ will showcase innovative solutions for protecting building materials and enhancing their performance at BAU in Munich. At Booth 125 in Hall A1, the company will present IGNIRIT^® and SIPORIT^® CT, two technologies designed to address distinct challenges in the construction industry. While IGNIRIT^® is a bio-based binder that provides effective flame retardancy for combustible materials, SIPORIT^® CT combines concrete surface protection with a wide range of decorative design possibilities. Both solutions demonstrate how building materials can be enhanced with additional functional properties to meet specific performance requirements.

IGNIRIT^®: Effective flame retardancy based on renewable raw materials

With IGNIRIT^®, KURZ offers an innovative solution for effective flame retardancy. The binder, made from 99% bio-based materials, can be used with a wide range of combustible materials to help prevent the spread of flames. The technology is particularly well suited for absorbent, open-pore materials that are highly flammable, providing an effective way to enhance the functionality of building materials. By combining flame-retardant and binding properties in a single product (2-in-1), IGNIRIT^® also enables a wide variety of material combinations.

A key distinguishing feature is its composition: IGNIRIT^® is completely free of halogens, phosphates, and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). This allows the technology to deliver effective flame retardancy while taking a deliberate, responsible approach to ingredient selection.

SIPORIT^® CT: Protecting and enhancing concrete surfaces during manufacturing

SIPORIT^® CT is an innovative solution that integrates surface protection and decorative design directly into the concrete manufacturing process. Unlike conventional surface treatments applied after production, SIPORIT^® CT is placed in the formwork before the concrete is poured. This allows casting, protection, and decorative finishing to be combined into a single process.

The technology is specifically designed to enhance concrete surfaces and increase their resistance to external factors, particularly weathering, chemical exposure, and mechanical stress. At the same time, SIPORIT^® CT offers a range of decorative design options, bringing together functional performance and aesthetic appeal.

This integrated approach also offers advantages in terms of resource-efficient construction. Durable, long-lasting surface protection can help extend the service life of concrete components and reduce maintenance requirements. By incorporating these benefits directly into the manufacturing process, SIPORIT^® CT helps preserve concrete surfaces and enhance their long-term performance.
